Christmas at Desert Hills

Christmas at Desert Hills

It’s December, the month we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have much to celebrate as we think of the Incarnation of our Lord. He left His heavenly throne to enter this world as a baby boy. He lived a holy and righteous life before God, upholding God’s Law in His every thought, word, and deed. His obedience was so extensive and complete that He was obedient even to the point of death, even death on a cross. Three days later He rose from the dead, the Father giving clear testimony that Jesus is indeed His Son and the Savior of the world.

At Desert Hills, we have some special events coming up this month to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:

December 12, 9AM – Ladies Christmas Tea. Come join the women of Desert Hills for a time of fellowship and worship focused on the message of Christmas.

December 13, 6PM – Christmas Service. The children of Desert Hills have been hard at work on a Christmas presentation. Come join us for this Sunday evening service as the children use their gifts to honor the Lord. We will also hear some special music from members of our congregation gifted in singing, and Jason Moore will present a Christmas message. Following the service, we’ll have a time of fellowship and enjoy some cookies and cocoa.

December 24, 6PM – Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. Our annual candlelight service on Christmas Eve is always a special time for our church family to gather together, sing Christmas hymns, and hear what God’s Word says about the birth of His Son.

December 27, 6PM – New Year’s Prayer Service. Our annual prayer vigil begins at 1PM on December 27, and that evening at 6PM we will gather for two hours of corporate prayer. Each year we end the year and look to the new year on our knees before the Lord, thanking Him for past blessings and looking to Him for strength in the year to come.

May your celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ draw you closer to Him this Christmas season. We hope to see you at these special times of worship and fellowship.
