This week’s sermon comes to us from the book of Nahum. The Assyrians were first warned by Jonah to repent and turn to the one true God. 150 years later, Nahum brings a message to the once again rebellious Assyrians: the Lord is a jealous God. Nahum teaches that despite the rebellious and sinful nature of a nation, God is slow to anger (1:3), but He will not always postpone His intervention and punishment. How do we praise and worship God who is both jealous and avenging? Listen as Pastor Robb’s sermon this week educates us on how God can be both vengeful and compassionate.
