Why Did Jesus Come? The Division of the Gospel (Luke 12:49-53)

Jesus paid it all.  We love to sing and worship Him for His sacrifice.  He allowed Himself to be beaten, mocked and crucified on the cross.  He suffered for our salvation.  Is this the only reason He suffered?  Do we look to Jesus as an example of how to endure through suffering?  Who are we going to love more: Jesus or our friends and family?  Jesus came to bring salvation, but his salvation also brings with it division. As Pastor Robb continues his sermon series through the Gospel of Luke, we learn that Jesus didn’t just die to save us but also as an example of how to endure suffering for our faith.  He may be the Prince of Peace, but according to Luke 12:51 He didn’t come to bring peace but division.
