It is all to easy to come to church and serve, but forget why we are serving. We get so busy with our assigned tasks that we seem to forget the bigger picture. We believe that we are serving people in Sunday school, daycare, on the worship team and even preaching, that we forget there is one greater that we serve. The focus of our service should not be as much the people we serve, but how much we should want to please Christ Jesus, our Master. We need to remember that He is eternal God, that He loved us so much that He died for us, that He was resurrected on the third day, that He has prepared resurrection bodies for us, and we await the day that He is going to take us to Himself for all eternity. Please heed the call from this morning’s sermon by Ryan Carpenter that there is much to remember in serving God and our service must be Heaven-bent on pleasing God.
